Netbook reflection
Netbook Reflection
WALT record what learning on our netbooks this year has been like, what we have enjoyed, what has been difficult, what has been interesting
Start here:
At the start of the year Room 6 was very lucky to get black, shiny, brand new netbooks! I felt happy because we can do our work faster.
I have really liked netbooks because we work on google docs, presentations and we get to look at other people’s blogs. We also search on internet about our Inquiry topics, and find out about things like photosynthesis.
Some small problems have been when I forgot my password and when the connection stops. When it does that I have to tell my teacher about it.
It has been really interesting when we can send emails to other people, and watch interesting links on manaiakalani. Our teacher can send documents to the class. The things that our teacher sends on the documents can help us learn more about writing, maths, reading and inquiry.
Hope you had enjoyed my netbook reflection

Hydro Power Explanation
WALT write an explanation including a definition, description and conclusion (of how a Hydro-power station works)

A hydro dam is an amazing structure that makes electricity from water!
firstly you build a dam to block the river .Water then builds up behind the dam. This is called the reservoir.
Water then goes through the intake, and rushes down the penstock, then the water spins the turbine.
This makes electricity which is stored in the generator. The electricity travels through the power lines to houses to cities.
After the water has gone through the turbine,it rejoins the river.
Hydropower is great because it is renewable.
